At some point thrift stores stopped trying to convince you that you could make your own unique costume from their racks and changed to "hey, buy donated costumes cheap". I guess after realizing the only clothing they ever have is old JNCOs and flannels shirts that have shrank 2 times smaller than their supposed size. Though it is true, there usually is Halloween stuff sitting on the shelves all year. If you're lucky enough to visit a location where the manager puts the extra effort in, they'll be additional costumes and decorations they held onto all year around. Of course you'll spend the money saved on disinfectant for that Minion mask with an un-removable price written on the forehead... but allegedly you did something good by shopping there. Well... just go to Walmart.
